Componenta business units are mainly major employers in the communities where they operate. Locally some of them have become involved in supporting the local community for example by funding schools, sports etc.

In Sweden

Componenta Främmestad has been actively involved in keeping the industrial high school in the community, for example by offering trainee jobs for the students. The cooperation has worked both ways, as the high school has arranged special engineering training for Componenta Främmestad employees.

In Turkey

Summer Sport School is opened every summer season. In Orhangazi Componenta Turkey established a Döktasspor football club, aiming to reach the professional league, now under the name of Orhangazispor. 

In Finland

With the Mäkelänrinne upper secondary school we have co-operation in sporting activities and when offering our personnel possibilities for physical exercise.

Componenta is an enterprise sponsoring sports activities at Mäkelänrinne upper secondary school, which specializes in sports. In return, the Mäkelänrinne (known affectionately as "Märsky") teaching staff and students provide advice and guidance to Componenta's personnel in matters related to physical exercise. Among other things, this co-operation has included experimentation with personal trainer coaching in the course of which Componenta staff living close to Helsinki have been provided with personal gym programmes and guidance in using the equipment, and the monitoring of improvement in their fitness. All this is also important for what is called TYKY - the acronym in Finnish for maintaining one's ability to work.

Even though Componenta and Märsky don't act on the same ground, people in both places need similar skills. Success in both entrepreneurship and in sports requires hard work and continuous improvement. And if you lack the ability to engage in healthy co-operation, you stand to lose ground in both working life and in team sports. Componenta considers co-operation with schools and young people extremely important also from the point of view of the company's future supply of labour.
