I started in the International Traineeship Program by working in business controlling tasks in Helsinki. I learned about the program in the university's recruitment fair. International Traineeshop Program differed for the better from other possibilities offered by other companies. After the first summer I got the opportunity to do my master's thesis for Componenta.

Second summer I spent at the Weert sales and engineering center in various finance and accounting tasks relating to selling customer receivables, several guidelines and reporting. I was able to compare working and working culture in the Netherlands and Finland. It was somewhat different although one could recognize that one was working in the same Group. Working culture is similar, but workplace in the Netherlands was more of a community. Sharing a flat with the other Finnish trainees during the foreign assignment made the traineeship also a social experience.

I feel that the two-year international traineeship program with the exchange opportunity offers a possibility to learn widely about the company and the work it has to offer. I feel that I have seen and experienced work at the finance and accouting department from many angles, and the traineeship exceeded my expectations. Especially I appreciated how well trainees were received in Weert and how all practical details of the trainees were handled.

I graduated as Master of Science in engineering during the program and now continue working in a permanent position at Componenta's headquarters as Financial Analyst.
